Vani Mahesh has a Masters degree in computer science from the US but always nurtured a desire to retell the exciting stories from Hindu Puranas. So she became a consultant writer with Amar Chitra Katha where she scripts stories from the Hindu texts. Her books include “Tales of Creation – stories from Brahma Purana,” “A Kingdom for His Love” (a novel based on Bhasa’s classic play Swapna Vasavadatta), “Saptarshi – the Seven Supreme Sages.” A retelling of Shiva Purana for children is due for release early next year. Vani also feels lucky that she could combine her other two loves – web technology and reading – to found EasyLib.com, the first online library in India.
